Weird and Unusual: People and Unfiltered Wine
One of our newest regulars is a person I would consider to be a "Character of Petersburg". Probably most people know him if they spend time downtown. He's colorful, both in his manner of dress and his personality. If you saw him pushing his walker down the street, you might dismiss him as old, crazy, and odd. There are a lot of wines that I have to keep re-ordering to keep in stock and the wines from Shabo are among them. Exploring Ethnobotany and Wine
Ethnobotany was one of my favorite classes in college. The study of how plants affect humans and the human culture, and then how humans impact the plant world around them. What first comes to mind is maize and how it was traced on the North American continent up from Mexico.
